Local Community Organization Seeking Marketing Intern
Who we are: DiRTYOGA provides community programming focused on integrating health and the arts. Founded in 2012 in North Phoenix, the grassroots organization brings yoga classes to parks, farmer’s markets, community gardens, local businesses, nonprofits, and schools. DiRTYOGA is committed to introducing elements of body awareness, mindfulness, and artistic expression to those who feel excluded from the traditional yoga studio setting.
Who you are: A college student looking to gain experience working in a community health organization. You are comfortable communicating, asking questions, and receiving feedback. You enjoy spending time on social media, and have experience posting on multiple platforms. You are internet savvy, organized, and love opportunities to express your creative visions.
Description of Duties: We are seeking an intern to help us a create a clear marketing plan that aligns with our brand. This includes creating a calendar for all posts, establishing a blog, and analyzing data from posts, sales, newsletters, and event attendance.
Additional Tasks may include:
Maintaining website calendar and keep up to date on current website maintenance. Experience using Squarespace platform a plus!
Research partnership and funding opportunities for future projects.
Creating marketing materials including press releases, press kits, and images.
10 hours a week from the comfort of your computer.
Weekly phone check-ins and monthly in person meetings (free lunch!).
3 month commitment, March-May. We understand you are a student and value your workload - schedule can be adapted to fit your availability.
Event attendance required 2x per month. You are not required to attend all of our classes, but we would like you to be familiar with the work that we do. We ask that you are able to provide transportation to 2 events per month, most taking place in the Central Phoenix/Downtown area.
